About the Group	Coverage The Essex Bus Enthusiasts Group caters for anyone interested in bus and coach operations in Essex and the out-county operations of Essex based firms. Services All members receive a monthly illustrated magazine, Essex Bus News, containing current news and historical features. Regular meetings are held in South and North Essex where members enjoy slide shows and talks. The Group’s sales stand is open at various rallies and other events, while Group publications and historical photos are available year round by post. Local bus timetable books are available on a subscription service. History The Group was originally formed in March 1962 as a local interest section within the M&D and East Kent Bus Club. The Eastern National Enthusiasts Group (ENEG) came into being in January 1964, publishing its own monthly news-sheet as well as organising meetings and coach tours. Following deregulation of the bus industry in 1986, the Group changed its name to the current title, to reflect the wider news coverage now offered. Reflecting the Group’s heritage, this web site uses “Tilling” green and cream for its navigation bars. To join Membership is open to anyone aged 14 or over – you do not need to live in Essex!
