BUS
SERVICE OPERATORS GRANT (BSOG) -
formerly
called FUEL DUTY REBATE (FDR)
Would you like to save 39p per litre off of your fuel bill?
If you are running local bus services, you are normally eligible to claim Bus Service Operators Grant (BSOG – often still called by its old name, Fuel Duty Rebate (FDR) - currently worth 37.96p per litre for diesel - on all your eligible mileage. Generally speaking, that is all your service mileage and most, often all, of your dead mileage.
If you are not already running local bus services, but have regular "dead" runs, eg to and from school contracts, have you considered turning these into bus services? The BSOG available may well be greater than any fare revenue that you might take!
Want to know more? SiGNAL Training runs a one-day seminar designed to explain all the procedures. The seminar includes a consultancy session, reviewing your particular operations. SiGNAL can also prepare your BSOG claims, if required. Contact us today to learn how to save money on your fuel bill!
