Airline Financial Analysis
This two-day seminar has been specially designed to help industry practitioners to assess the strength of an airline through an analysis of its financial statements, seen in an appropriate industry and competitive context. Airline financial statements are often designed to confuse and obscure, rather than to shed light on the true state of the business. Therefore the starting point for any analysis must be to understand what makes up the financial statements and how they relate to the underlying business. This does not mean becoming an accountant, but rather understanding how to interpret the key financials - the profit & loss account, balance sheet and cash flow statement. It also means recognising what those statements do not include.
The seminar is run in conjunction with Airline Economics, and delegates can attend either or both of the two day modules. Both seminars are offered annually as an open programme, and have been run very successfully as in-house programmes for a number of major industry players.

Airline Economics
Also over two days, this seminar debates the increasingly contentious subject of airline economics. The forces of deregulation and liberalisation are lowering barriers to entry and the widespread trend towards the privatisation of state-owned airlines is allowing for a freer play of market forces. Debates continue, though, in such areas as airline pricing policy, on the economics of allocating airport slots, on the best ways for carriers to control their costs, and on the actions they should take in order to adapt to the ups-and-downs of the economic cycle.
This module describes the jargon and the business issues associated with problems such as these. The seminar is run in conjunction with Airline Finance, and delegates can attend either or both of the two day modules. Both seminars are offered annually as an open programme, and have been run very successfully as in-house programmes for a number of major industry players.

SSA Airline Industry Senior Executive
Briefings
As well as our formal courses, we are pleased to put together briefings on specific aspects of the airline industry. Typically these are used to brief executive management about current issues, or to act as part of an induction programme for newly recruited senior managers. Each briefing is tailored to the particular needs of the participants and is usually delivered in-house, at a time convenient for the attendees. The duration can vary from a couple of hours up to four or five days, depending on the topics to be covered.
We will be pleased to put together a detailed proposal to meet your specific requirements.
All of the training programmes described above can be delivered as in-house programme, adapted to the needs of a specific company. We have considerable experience of running such in-house courses for a variety of major aerospace industry players. Please contact us to discuss your requirements.
